Boyd Hill Nature Preserve in St Petersburg is Incredible

Published on 10/02/23:

Nature lovers and parents, did you know that just 4 miles from downtown St Pete lies a beautiful 245 acre nature preserve with fort playground, wildlife rescues, and education center? Who knows the amazing Boyd Hill?
Address: 1101 Country Club Way S, St Pete
During my summer nature series, I explored some of our area’s incredible parks and preserves. Some with even free zip lines and other activities. I’ll of course continue writing up great nature parks, mixed in with my other posts. 🌳
Boyd Hill Nature Preserve includes interactions with wildlife rescues, 5-6 miles of scenic trails, boardwalks overlooking Lake Maggiore (380 acres), indoor education area, primitive camp sites, and more! Downtown buildings are still in view, yet it feels like you’re in the Everglades.

Boyd Hill offers rotating affordable experiences for children, such as:

🌳 Sing & Playtime for Toddlers
🌳 Farming at the Boyd Hill Garden
🌳 Puddle Jumpers outdoor exploration
🌳 “Feathers and Scales” animal encounters

Adult activities such as:

🌳 Guided tram tours (all ages)
🌳 Morning walks on Tues & Thurs
🌳 Garden Workdays
Times, days, and activities vary. Visit their website or pickup a brochure onsite for latest schedule.
