Christmas Holidays at Largo Central Park in Largo, Florida

Published on 12/22/22: Seven story Ferris wheel, carousel, two million lights, hot chocolate, photo opps, and s’mores! Is this up anyone’s alley? Who’s already visited the 70-acre Largo Central Park this holiday season?

For this activity suggestion, we even reluctantly opted out on watching our favorite Shore Acres golf cart parade. Too many great activities around Tampa Bay and not enough time! We lived vicariously through friends at the parade, it’s a great one, even donated our golf cart lights to the cause. (posted earlier about the parade)

Green Space and More at Largo Central Park

Alright, so you all know I love green space. I especially enjoy when you add in huge oaks and other mature vegetation, water features, plus well thought out landscape lighting and pathways. Colt of course loves when you include one of the best playgrounds in Pinellas County! This says a lot, as there are so many good ones. Largo Central Park has it all. I’ll do a full write-up on the park in the new year, including info on the ‘all ages’ free train that runs during the first weekend of each month.

Holiday Lights at Largo Central Park

So, while I love the park already, the City of Largo puts the cherry on top between 11/24 and 1/1. Their setup is excellent. I’ll try to make a video of last night’s experience and post on the new LovingStPete YouTube Channel. Make sure you’re subscribed there if you’re not already (it’s free of course). https://m.youtube.com/@lovingstpete/
