The latter was the winning combo for me, though that service should come with a warning label: “will lead to enthusiastically jumping on stage to sing”. It happens.

In fact, everyone in our group sang a song (or more

) thanks to LALA’s private room concept. Instead of singing for the whole bar, your audience is contained to your friends. That helps! Plus, LALA’s karaoke system has 70K songs, so “they don’t have it” wasn’t an excuse for our group.

Long ago, we visited LALA and loved it, had a blast, but I missed writing it up! Caught it while reconciling a couple of my LSP lists yesterday… with my new found free time post-move.

LALA is Locally Owned

Lucas Herraiz is the local restauranteur who owns LALA. The concept has been such a hit that he’s opening another one in Tampa’s Hyde Park!

Here’s the deal on the karaoke. While walk-ins are welcomed, try to reserve your room well in advance. They fill up…took me a few attempts to get our Friday night booked. Reserve a room based on theme and group size. They’re sized between “up to 5 people” and “up to 18 people”, with additional options in between. Themes include “Rock n Roll”, “Speakeasy”, “Grammy’s”, among others.

LALA’s Delicious Food

The karaoke concept is great, however many visit for LALA’s food! “Each dish is made from scratch using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible […] Our menu features delectable Mediterranean and French inspired food alongside classic American bar food favorites”. Great atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Cool spot!
