Plant City Strawberry Festival – Guide for Family

Published on 03/12/21: For those who missed our post earlier in the week, this is the last weekend of the Florida Strawberry Festival. The festival is in Plant City about 45-55 minutes from St Pete. Entry fee is for adults and for ages 6 and up. Keep in mind this is the cost to enter and does not include the cost for parking (ours was ), games, rides, and food. You can buy entry tickets online here: https://flstrawberryfestival.com

If you head that way, be prepared for some lines if it’s as crowded as it was last weekend. Despite the crowd, Colt and I certainly had a great time playing the games, eating, and #winning. Sort of like a Vegas for kids.

Live Music

Some noted that without the lineup of musicians this year, the 2021 festival is indeed a bit more geared toward toddlers thru teens. While there was a talented musician playing during our visit, we hear there’s usually a full slate. We love live music, so that will certainly have us back again next year.

Plus loved seeing the look on Colt’s face as he competed in the various games…”that sloth is going to be mine!”. I’m going to miss age 5, despite the occasional parental stress, that I imagine comes with nearly every age.
