Sanding Ovations Masters Cup in Treasure Island
Sanding Ovations Master Cup – Treasure Island
Published on 11/14/23: Just two days away! Thursday kicks off the Sanding Ovations Master’s Cup in Treasure Island. If you’re unfamiliar, this annual sand sculpture competition is where the ‘best of the best’ converge to build massive sand sculptures on beautiful Treasure Island beach. Click on first image to see my son’s attempt to challenge the master sculptors last year. 😬
Annual Event – Sanding Ovations
We enjoy this event every year! I mean it’s free, on a beautiful beach, they sell food and drink, live bands perform, kites are flying (can purchase one), vendors are selling arts and crafts, plus beachfront restaurants and bars are in walking distance. Basically pack your beach towels and sunblock, park your car, and take a shuttle to the festival…then make a beachfront afternoon of it!
Just a reminder this is a cashless event. Parking is the trickiest part of this adventure, but not the end of the world. They offer parking near the event, however it can be hit or miss. I highly recommend using the shuttle on Saturday and Sunday. For full parking info and other details, visit Sanding Ovations’ website in the first comment below.
