Bottom of the Bin Used Art and Craft Store

Published on 12/19/23: Bottom of the Bin! This 4.9/5 star secondhand arts & craft store is loved by my son and it’s certainly a win for mom and dad’s wallet. Santa was even onsite when Colt and I visited, helping children with art projects while serving up drinks and cookies.

With the holiday break nearing, I figure now is a good time to post this one. Time to stock up on affordable activities to keep everyone busy.

Locally Owned and Featured in the News – Secondhand Craft Store

While this isn’t a huge warehouse (store in a shopping plaza), once you start going through the shelves, you find more and more that you didn’t see originally.
Locally owned Bottom of the Bin has been featured on Charley’s World (Fox 13), Brightside (10 Tampa Bay), and won “Best Art Supply Store” in the 2023 Best of the Bay. Praised as a way to affordably reuse and recycle what’s already in our community.
Additionally, Stephanie (owner) hosts workshops and social events at the store, bringing together likeminded individuals of all ages. I added a few flyers of past events to the end of the pics, simply an idea of the events she hosts.
You all know I’m not an indoor activity person, nor artistic, though I was up for the challenge of purchasing supplies. I mean, dad simply sets stuff on the counter, then run my credit card, right? So, we set out on a father-son mission.

Very Nice and Knowledgeable Owner

Turns out, decisions needed to be made and we required guidance. Fortunately, the owner, Stephanie Christou, is very knowledgeable and friendly. I told her whatever it takes to not hear “can I have your phone?!” during his time out of school.
Wood models to paint, sand art kits, tie dye kits, a paper crimper roller thing, lots of paints and glitter (evidently, he’s going to bling out Santa’s wooden sleigh) and much more.

Donate Your Used Art Supplies

Recycling Your Items: Bring in your leftover arts & crafts items (new or used) for store credit. New, used, partially used, and even some scraps of art and craft supplies. Store credit is issued digitally. Visit website for full list of accepted items.
*Or use the supplies as gifts. If you’re like my parents, just because it’s used, doesn’t mean Santa couldn’t bring it. We received many garage sale/used items each Christmas growing up, and do the same sometimes now. 😬
