Before we head into our series on Gulfport, I’ll wrap up our posts about this unassuming shopping center a few miles north of downtown St Pete. Specifically, three of the 4+ star hidden gems within the plaza, based on Google Reviews.

I first posted about Happy’s Ice Cream, the small batch ice cream shop serving delicious ice cream as well as ‘boozy’ ice cream for adults. Then we posted about the very high tech video arcade (w/o much signage) inside Sunrise Lanes. Now onto our family’s new source of gyros and Greek salads inside the same plaza!

Kalina’s Coffee and European Food has an excellent 4.6/5 average out of 230 Google Reviews and has been locally owned for many years. Sounds like they’ve only moved once in the last 15 years or so, and that was within the same plaza.

Lots of items

Upon entering this deli and specialty grocer, Colt and I were both in a bit of shock. I mean, there’s a lot going on in a rather small space. We’re talking 1000’s of items, including wine and even a small selection of fresh produce.

Delicious Gyro’s

Once we regained our focus, ate a gyro and Greek salad, the reviews all made perfect sense! They were delicious. We’ve returned twice to reload and now my wife spotted different types of pierogies in our photos, an excuse for our next visit. And if you’ve been looking to step up your coffee game, Kalina’s has a very large selection of coffee grounds and beans from many countries!

Mostly To-Go Orders and Grocery Shopping

I should add, while there are a couple small tables inside, my hunch is that most order ‘to-go’. Very casual, with simply a counter for food pickup.

Alright, now I’m wanting another gyro, guess I know where I’m going for lunch!
