McArthur's Irish Pub St Petersburg
McArthur’s Irish Pub St Pete
Published on 8/30/22: From one #SupportLocal giveaway to the next, let’s now hand out gift cards to McArthur’s Irish Pub on 4th Street! If you’re unfamiliar with McArthur’s, stop in on Friday or Saturday evening to see why nearly 500 Google reviewers give it an excellent 4.7/5 star average. I mean any day or night is great (I’ve tested them for you), but the Irish bands on the weekends push it over the top. Live music starts at 7pm. Oh, and if the Brayzen Heads happen to be playing, I can vouch that they’re great! They’ve toured the world, putting on over 4K shows. Check my @LovingStPete “story” for a sampling from one of my visits.
One lucky follower on Facebook will receive a $25 gift card, and same with one on Instagram! To enter, simply comment on IG and/or FB with something Irish you enjoy, tag who you might bring, and ensure you’re following McArthur’s account!
Arthur Paula – Founder of McArthur’s Irish Pub
Alright, so huge props to Tampa Bay local, Arthur Paula, living out his dream by opening an authentic Irish pub in St Pete. McArthur’s not only honors his roots and love of Ireland, but the pub does it extraordinarily well. The excellent reviews reflect Arthur’s passion for perfection and decades in the restaurant industry. As follower @joyphotographs_ messaged me: “It’s the best bar! My local spot with my hubby from Ireland. If the real Irish like it, you know it’s good!”.
Opened During Difficult Times
I had the pleasure of meeting Arthur, learning how the pub was scheduled to open, of all times, in March of 2020. While he says the luck of the Irish got him through the situation, it’s clear a contributing factor was having a pub that radiates community, with extra helpings of delicious food and drink. As GreenBenchMonthly.com noted Arthur saying: “In Ireland, the pubs are an important part of every community. To build fellowship, bring people together.” The article goes on to say that “McArthur’s radiates joy and togetherness.” The publication notes how, for instance, McArthur’s was the first pub to put Irish musicians back to work in 2020, using the parking lot as their stage during the difficult times.
McArthur’s Irish Pub – So Many Great Reviews
While there are many positive articles and reviews, as I told my wife, I really needed several first-hand experiences with this particular establishment. Yes, I’ve visited 3 times in the past two weeks. And now I need to return to my lucky spot for a Bucs game! I just learned that Arthur sets up a big screen for the games!
They also serve Happy Hour from 11am-7pm every weekday! Ha. Tell me you’re an Irish pub without telling me you’re an Irish pub. This includes discounted apps and drinks.
As for the winners of the “brunches for two” at Harvey’s: Dan Fox on Facebook and Saltwater_Teacher on Instagram. Congratulations!! I’ll be in touch within 48 hours on DM.
