We did a thing. Meet Lola! A rescue from Friends of Strays Animal Shelter. Lola most certainly rescued our family, not vice versa. We’re all in love with this sweet, smart, beautiful pup. Lola was her name upon entering the shelter…we went with it.

All Pets Spay or Neutered, Vaccinated, Dewormed, and Microchipped

Friends of Strays has been INCREDIBLE through our adoption process. All of their pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped and part of your adoption fee. The fees vary depending on species and age, clearly marked when you visit. Keep in mind they’re a non-profit, so you’re helping fund their fantastic mission.

Joys of Having Pets – Friends of Strays

I say ‘rescued our family’, but seriously, the joy a pet brings into a home cannot be overstated. I took care of many black Labs and strays on our avocado farm growing up, but admittedly it’s been a while. This has been a great refresher. So grateful that Colt has a kind buddy to play fetch, explore, and so much more.

Science says over and over that owning a pet improves our mental and physical health in numerous ways.
