Beautiful Florida Weather
One great aspect of living in the Tampa Bay Area is the gorgeous weather. Per WeatherSpark: “The hot season lasts for 4.9 months, from May 7 to October 5, with an average daily high temperature around 87°F. The hottest month of the year in the Tampa Bay Area is July, with an average high of 90°F and low of 76°F.” “The cool season lasts for 2.7 months, from December 8 to February 27, with an average daily high temperature around 74°F. Our area also boasts more than 360 days of sunshine a year, making it perfect for outdoor activities like beach days, golf, and boating. Even in the winter months, temperatures rarely drop below 60 degrees, so you can enjoy the outdoors no matter the time of year.
Affordable Living Compared to Some Other Cities in Florida
Another great reason to move to Tampa Bay is its affordability. Yes, Florida is expensive overall, but when compared to other cities in Florida, the Tampa Bay area has more affordable locations. To clarify, it’s more affordable than some other cities, not all. For instance, according to FloridaBoomers.com, Naples, Ponte Vedra, Destin, New Smyrna Beach, and Miami, are just a few of the cities that are more expensive. There are quite a few others. Real estate prices are reasonable in comparison, giving you more bang for your buck when it comes to buying a property. In addition, there is no state income tax in Florida, so you get to keep more of your hard-earned money!
Tampa Bay Beach Access
When you think of Florida, you probably think of its beautiful beaches, and Tampa Bay does not disappoint in this category. Our area is home to some of Florida’s best beaches, including Clearwater Beach, St. Pete Beach, and Anna Maria Island. With their soft, white sand and crystal-clear water, these beaches are perfect for soaking up the sun or enjoying water sports like kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing. In fact Clearwater Beach and St Pete Beach have won recent awards over the last several years, voted as top beaches!
Cultural Scene
Tampa Bay is also known for its vibrant cultural scene. The area is home to many museums, theaters, and art galleries, including the Tampa Museum of Art, the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, and the Dali. In addition, there are many annual festivals and events that showcase the area’s diverse culture, like the Gasparilla Pirate Festival, the Tampa Bay Margarita Festival, and the Clearwater Jazz Holiday.
Tampa Bay Sports
If you’re a sports fan, you’ll love living in Tampa Bay! Our area is home to three major sports teams: the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (NFL), the Tampa Bay Rays (MLB), and the Tampa Bay Lightning (NHL). All have done very well, especially over the last few years! Plus, we have the Tampa Bay Rowdies as a high caliber team for soccer fans. And don’t forget about the very affordable Clearwater Threshers for minor league baseball. The Threshers make a great family outing that doesn’t break the bank. So in short, whether you’re into football, baseball, hockey or soccer, there’s always a game to catch in this sports-loving town.
Outdoor Activities
In addition to its beaches and sports teams, the Tampa Bay Area offers plenty of outdoor activities for nature lovers. The area is home to many parks and nature preserves, such as Hillsborough River State Park, Brooker Creek Preserve, Ft De Soto, Boyd Hill, and others! Plenty of great spots to hike, bike, and become one with nature. You’ll see so many different birds and all types of wildlife. And if that’s not enough, the Tampa Zoo is fantastic! Also, if you’re looking for a thrill, you can always head to one of the area’s many amusement parks, like Busch Gardens Tampa Bay or Adventure Island.
Growing Job Market
Finally, Tampa Bay’s job market is growing and shows no signs of slowing down. The area is home to several major companies, including Raymond James Financial, Publix Supermarkets, and Tech Data Corporation. In addition, the healthcare industry is also booming in Tampa Bay, with several major hospitals and medical centers located throughout the area.
In conclusion, there are so many reasons to buy real estate in our Tampa Bay Area. From its beautiful weather and affordable living to its beaches, cultural scene, and growing job market. Whether you’re a young professional, a retiree, or a family looking for a new place to call home, Tampa Bay has something for everyone. With its laid-back atmosphere and endless activities, it’s no wonder why so many people are choosing to make Tampa Bay their new home.
