Thank you for Following LoingStPete

This is the first of many Loving St Pete recommendations for the new year. Thank you again for following along and also for joining my new Tampa Bay Waterfront Life & Beaches 🏖️ Facebook group! This was a placeholder group for far too long, finally set a path last month. Look forward to seeing your adventures and photos. The group is growing…
Whew, we’re back after a week+ ‘social media sabbatical’ (for most part) in the Rocky Mountains. Colt ⛷️ all blue/intermediate slopes on his final day! #crushedIt #altautah Free green slope, better snow and higher elevation than PC/Deer Valley/Canyons, more affordable than all 3, 5th largest 🎿 in Utah.
We started going in early 80’s. Less glam and more about 🌄, thus up our alley. Msg if want more info. I’ll post stories. Still great to be back in beautiful Tampa Bay! That’s my 8 day catch-up in a few sentences…

Back to the Seaside Seabird Sanctuary

Alright, back to Seaside Seabird Sanctuary! Founded in 2016, this unique experience is 25-35 minutes away for most of us around St Petersburg and well worth the drive. You’ll be up-close and personal with SO many native birds. Plus, there’s an observation tower overlooking the gorgeous beach, with seating! You know Colt and I love our observation towers.
Most importantly, this is a non-profit that does great work and would love your support. They care for sick, injured, and orphaned native wild birds. It’s free to visit, though you’ll see donation boxes onsite, plus a gift shop. All proceeds benefit the 501(c)(3).

Seaside Bird Sanctuary Hospital Non-Profit

“The heart of our operations is the Dr. Marie L. Farr Avian Hospital, where our small team of staff and volunteers care for approximately 3,500 birds every year. We are also home to over 80 permanently injured resident birds, and we collaborate with multiple organizations to find permanent homes for birds who are unable to be released and are able to have a good quality of life in captivity.”

Mike Braswell is a Tampa Bay Realtor, serving St Petersburg, Clearwater, all nearby beaches and more. Mike started LovingStPete in October of 2020 after a difficult year took its toll on local businesses. After being cooped up for portions of 2020 (lockdown) Mike and his son decided to get out and explore, helping spread the good word about the local area he loves so much. Often even doing gift card giveaways to support local. LovingStPete is now followed by over 48 thousand people on social media! The majority of posts are informative on fun parks, activities, day trips, great restaurants, and in general provide a comprehensive tour of the area!

Soon after receiving his bachelors in Management Information Systems, Mike developed and then operated a vacation rental advertising business for 10+ years as CEO/Owner. The business was eventually acquired by VRBO. Mike has earned the trust of many large clients over the years. Such as NFL, Wynn Resorts, Blue Cross Blue Shield, VISA, Genuine Parts Company (NAPA Auto Parts), AT&T, and other Fortune 500 companies.

When not spending time with his beautiful wife and energetic son, Mike enjoys boating and is also an avid tennis player. An interesting fact about Mike is that he grew up on an avocado farm with over 15 varieties, some of which you can find in our local Publix/Winn Dixie as his dad still farms the same farm at 87 years old!
