Published on 12/01/23: For a delicious homestyle breakfast, check out Skyway Cafe’ on 4th Street! With nearly 1K reviews and 4.5/5 stars on Google, this locally owned spot offers daily breakfast and brunch until 2:30pm. Well, except on Tuesday, their day off. Plenty of tables and booths, plus they have a pup friendly outdoor area. 🐶

Skyway Cafe’ is going on 12 years with current owner. Doing something right!

Mixing this one into my Loving St Pete December posts, as this gem was playing Christmas music on Nov 4th, ha! The local owners love Christmas, so the restaurant is well decorated for the holidays. Pics are from a couple different visits.

Local Tampa Bay Area Owner

Owner was busy working, as I find at most of the well-reviewed places. Owners are Nano (pictured next to me, plus her team) along with her husband who was out of town on my visit. Friendly folks! Appears from the first pic that I had one too many cups of coffee. 😂
While affordable any time, Skyway Cafe’ offers $5.05 breakfast specials M-F until 8:30am. Eggs with Bacon, Ham or links, omelets, pancake, French toast, SOS. Each meal only $5.05, with purchase of a beverage. (dine in only and not on holidays)

Excellent Service for Breakfast and Brunch

Service was excellent, keeping our coffee warm the entire visit and checking on us often. Also, seems like quite a few regulars frequent Skyway Cafe. A great sign.
My wife called it “cozy”. This time of year, Amy has on Hallmark movies all day in her office. I have no doubt she was picturing herself in one of those small towns as we sat amidst the decorations. Only difference is the guy across the booth doesn’t always say the right thing, we’re not in a small mountain town, and our holiday spirit doesn’t need a kick start. However, she does see the same character every day.
Me: “Isn’t that the same movie you watched this morning?”
Amy: “No, just same actor. Well, actually the same actress too.” 🤷🏼‍♂️

An interesting fact about Mike is that he grew up on an avocado farm with over 15 varieties, some of which you can find in our local Publix/Winn Dixie as his dad still farms the same farm at 87 years old!
