High School Football Around St Petersburg

Whether you’re a football fan or not, I encourage you to spend a Friday night under the lights. St Pete, Dunedin, Pinellas Park, Lakewood, Palm Harbor, wherever you might be, there’s always high school football.

Pick a high school team, take in a game, visit the concession stand, listen to the band, support the student athletes and their parents, make an evening out of it. Very affordable, neighborhood fun…and if you have kids or grandkids, they might even thank you!

Our friend’s son plays for St Pete High, so they became our team last year and again this year. As a bonus, their QB is a playmaker and certainly fun to watch! Jeff Jones led their team to a victory over Northeast High last night. (we left in 3rd quarter to get Colt rested for more football today) St Pete High has their homecoming game on Oct 13th. Just sayin’, Colt got a kick out of the homecoming festivities last year (King & Queen) and your family might as well!

Jeff Jones (QB) ended up with over 2100 yards rushing for the 2023 Green Devils season. That’s a lot! Made for a fun high school football season as a fan and look forward to seeing Jeff and the rest of the team in 2024.
