Tampa Riverwalk for the Super Bowl

Tampa Riverwalk for the Super Bowl (or anytime)

Published on 02/06/21: For those venturing to the Tampa Riverwalk tomorrow for Super Bowl festivities (or those living vicariously) here’s our thoughts after visiting today.

Most everything Super Bowl related is along The Riverwalk, so we parked near the Convention Center and strolled along the water from Amalie Arena to near the Sheraton. Within this stretch there’s a ‘Super Bowl Experience’ setup behind a fenced off area. Simply download the NFL OnePass app, register, and display your QR code to enter.

There’s food & drink for sale, tables to eat/rest, a stage with DJ playing tunes and some other odds and ends. Colt won him a pirate eye patch on a Plinko typo game, though otherwise we didn’t find an abundance to do in this area. Maybe we missed something as we had heard about a 40 yard dash, photo opps with Vince Lombardi trophy, etc. There’s either another area or I was too distracted keeping up with a 5 yr old and missed it. Regardless, plenty of Bucs/SB spirit to get you in the mood! Fun atmosphere!

My favorite aspect of this stretch of Riverwalk were the boat parties behind the Convention Center! By boat, I mean yachts. Like yachts with jacuzzis on their decks. #boatgoals We tried pretending we were on the boats, but that was simply frustrating, so we hopped in the car for round two at Armature Works, on the other end of Riverwalk. I should add, Colt’s favorite part of this area of Riverwalk were the tiny boats and water bikes (pictured) that you can rent, plus the pirate ships. If you want to ride on the Lost Pearl, check out Pirate Ship Tampa and reserve a spot! We opted to wait and ride another day when Amy could join.
