The Frog Pond for Breakfast

Published on 09/09/21: Today I’m writing about one of our favorite breakfast places while on our ‘experience’ splurge in St. Pete Beach this summer. Yes, The Frog Pond, St. Pete Beach!

The Frog Pond is well known in Pinellas, having served up delicious omelets, benedicts and much more for 30+ years now. The first location opened in North Reddington Beach in 1982, with the St Pete Beach location following around 11 years ago. [edit: Downtown location is temporarily closed] With this said, many Pinellas residents are within 20 minutes of at least one of the two locations. If you have yet to try The Frog Pond, add it to your list!

This summer they always had a list of rotating specials, provided excellent service and the food was great. The casual atmosphere suits the beach vibe perfectly. I mean, as long as you’re at Frog Pond, you might as well visit the #1 beach in the United States per TripAdvisor. The sand is just a 7 minute walk away. Or if you’re not feeling the walk after a hearty breakfast, there are plenty of beachside Park Mobile spots near Upham Beach (part of SPB). Simply aim for 6700 Beach Plaza on your GPS and park there for a stroll on the beach, only a 2 minute drive from Frog Pond.
