Scroll down for activities around the Tampa Bay area that involve animal encounters or critters! Animal lovers will be glad to know that most of these are just a short drive of Saint Petersburg. Some though might be considered a day trip. From the Tampa Zoo to the Clearwater Aquarium and free nature parks with animal exhibits. There are so many options in this area of Florida and I’m always adding more. I’d suggest navigating to my LovingStPete blog as it’s easier to filter!
